Layers, blend modes and artistic effects in Affinity Photo 2

Affinity Photo 2 isn’t just a photo editor. Like Adobe Photoshop, it’s also a design tool for creatives, illustrators and artists. You can use it for regular photo enhancement, but you can also use it to create fantasy composites and illustrations using masks, layer opacity and blend mode options, and this article shows how it’s done using the boat and sunset image created in a previous tutorial.
